Highlights

Well, I can't exactly say these last two weeks have gone quickly, but they have been busy which has definitely helped the time pass. Brad is due to arrive home tonight around midnight. We will be very happy to have him home, even if he does start right back to work. No holiday weekend here, but we're just glad he'll be back. I spoke to him last on Tuesday and he had just gotten over a cold and sounded like he was enjoying himself, but was ready to come home.

Some highlights from these two weeks. We had a couple fun outings to the zoo and the museum. The museum was particularly fun this time because it was the first trip where Naomi was able to run around the place herself and play rather than be carried or sit in the stroller. She had a blast and I think future trips are going to be increasingly enjoyable! We also got to see the brand new Berenstain Bears exhibit.

We also enjoyed a visit last weekend from Uncle Josh! We had Boli's (yum!) and went to see Prince Caspian, which was great. The kids loved having him home - they have the best Uncles :).

Some fun "Riley-isms" from recently... one of his new phrases is when Naomi starts doing something she isn't supposed to he will run to get me and say, "Come save the day mommy!" He us also constantly asking, "cause why? cause why?" He has to know details about everything :).

Naomi has started repeating everything. She will surprise us with new words all the time now. The other day we were giving the kids an apple for a snack and she said "apple" clear as day! And she started trying to say Boppy (Riley's nickname for Grandpa) and says, "BaPa." It's pretty cute. She also learned to go down the stairs by herself last week. Luckily I caught it all on tape so Brad can see it when he gets home. She is so proud of herself, and Riley gets so excited and says, "Nomie's doing it all by herself!!!"
