Stonybrook Park

After a fun-filled day Saturday, we were all so exhausted that we slept late on Sunday. We didn't really have time to make it to church, so we had a slow morning at home together. We enjoyed a yummy breakfast, and Riley opened a few more presents from mommy and daddy. He got a dinosaur stamp set, a couple 100 piece puzzles, a wooden construction kit, and a new backpack for preschool! I think the favorite though was the walkie-talkie set ("halkie talkies") for the kids to share. Even though we realized we didn't have the right batteries, the kids still had fun playing with them the entire day :).

It looked like another beautiful day, so we decided to take a day trip to Stonybrook Park. It was a blast! They had a super fun playground, cool hiking trails that had some beautiful scenery, a swimming area, and we brought a picnic lunch which we topped off at the cafe with some yummy ice cream. It was a great way to spend a birthday celebrating together and we will definitely be going back in the future.

Riley, we were so happy to share such a special day with you. We are excited about all the new things this year holds for you, including your first year of school and a new baby brother. We love you and are looking forward to celebrating many more birthdays to come!
