We have been filling up our summer days with lots of day trips, play dates, house projects, meals with friends, and time spent together as a family. It has been wonderful. We are now over halfway through Brad's time off and I have a lot of pictures to catch up on. We are expecting friends from Cincinnati tomorrow for a week, then Brad starts his new job, we celebrate Riley's 5th birthday, he starts kindergarten, and a new phase in our life begins!
One day last week we took a day trip to Ithaca. We went to the Museum of the Earth, which was pretty cool, but we definitely enjoyed the Creation Museum much more. It did have some awesome skeletons and fossils though and the kids enjoyed it. And we also brought a picnic lunch and hiked the gorge, which was pretty difficult - mostly steps uphill and then a steep slope coming back down - but the kids were troopers and Elijah ended up falling asleep in the mei tai!
