Naomi is 14 months old today! We had a playdate this morning with some friends from Mops. Its fun to see her interacting more with the kids and making friends. We have been taking frequent trips to the playground and she just loves to walk over the ramps and bridges and especially to go down the slides. She is quite a brave little girl! We have to keep a close watch on her or she'd do just about anything! She recently also started playing ball. She loves to play "fetch" (haha) and is getting really good at throwing it back!
Riley is doing a lot better health wise. We are pretty sure that the really high fevers he was having not too long ago were caused by ParvoVirus (Fifths Disease). I guess you get that slapped cheek look after the fevers are gone, and he ended up getting that. I'm glad we kept him home and a close eye on him!
He is getting really into coloring these days. He spent a half an hour drawing all kinds of pictures at Grammy's house the other day. He brought home a really cool picture he drew of Candy Land! Of course it went right into a frame :).
We went to the garden center on Monday and ended up getting 2 apple trees! We got a Honeycrisp (my fav!) and a Cortland, one for eating one for baking! Unfortunately it takes about 3 years to get fruit off it, but we are excited for the future since we enjoy our pear tree so much. And we have almost all the gravel dug up from our yard! Yay! For those who aren't aware, the previous owners of our house had tons of it down for their horse equipment and we prefer our kids to play on grass :). Between the gardening, trees, fences, and new grass seed our yard is starting to look amazing!!! We still have work to do, but it sure has come a loooong way!
