Part 5: Fundy National Park

On day 4 we went to Fundy Park, New Brunswick where we met up with Brad's brother and his family, my father-in-law, and the oldest cousin, Brad's sister's son Noah. Thursday we were able to do some hiking. We did a short loop trail to Dickson Falls which was beautiful, but unfortunately, the weather was not very cooperative after that point and we spent the night in a heavy downpour and thunderstorms. We did get some water in our tent (still not quite sure why), and the kids sleeping bags and a couple pillows were soaked, not to mention all the firewood, camping chairs, etc. So we spent the morning going to Point Wolfe and hiking a few trails in the rain and then by lunch decided it wasn't clearing up and it was time to pack up and head to Halifax. We were pretty wet and muddy by then, and exhausted from the lack of sleep (didn't sleep so well in the middle of the woods with only a piece of plastic between me and the lightening...) so we were disappointed to cut short our time there, but very glad to get on the road again.

Next stop . . . Halifax, Nova Scotia!
