Following our time in Halifax, we set off with Brad's parents and his sister's family for their Family Camp in New Brunswick where they would be spending the remainder of the week. We were able to spend most of the day with them there on Tuesday, and then set off first thing on Wednesday for Portland, Maine, and then home. By Tuesday, I could tell Riley was done with vacation when we told me he wanted to it to be "just us" and he didn't want to talk to anymore strangers. After 2 1/2 weeks away from home, we all felt ready to get back and have some time together, just the four of us. We were able to spend a really fun evening together in Portland at the hotel, swimming at the pool and just spending some quiet time together before driving the rest of the way home on Thursday.

This was by far one of the best vacations we've had as a family so far, and we are so thankful we have these memories together. We look forward to many more family road trips in the future!
