If we had to get rid of all the toys in our house and were only able to keep one thing, it almost certainly would be Legos. Brad and I both enjoyed Legos as kids and we are having a lot of fun introducing them to our kids now. So you can imagine how excited the kids (ahem...all of us) were when we found out the new special exhibit at the Museum of Play was Castle Legos! Due to a stinker of a scheduling mix-up (that was not in Brad's favor) he unexpectedly had to work this whole weekend including a 24 hr shift, so he took Thursday off and we packed the five of us up and headed to the museum to check it out. Dad and Tim, if you are reading this you need to come with us to check it out next time - you'd really enjoy it! Keep in mind, just about everything you see in these pictures is made from Legos!
This dragon was VERY impressive and there was a cute baby dragon in the treasure chest behind the kids too.
There were tons of exhibits with some pretty cool lego designs. This was a replica of an English garden somewhere. There were a bunch of lego models of real life castles from around the world too, but my battery was dying so I didn't get pictures of those. Guess we'll have to go again!
This castle was a smaller version of a castle build by a 13 year old boy that took him over a week to build and took up half of his bedroom.
This one was so creative...everything here was made from Legos...now I'm thinking of building some Lego furniture for our house...haha.

Super COOOOL! Wow! I wish we lived closer - or were scheduled for a visit to my family soon. How long will the Lego exhibit run?
I think I heard May, but don't quote me on that. It just opened and they usually stay for several months so it should be there for awhile. You should try to make it if you can!
